I had an enjoyable stay overall, thanks to the stunning ocean views and a great location near Santa Monica Beach. However, my experience was somewhat marred by outdated room conditions and a pool that was closed during my visit. Despite that, the customer service was friendly and accommodating, which made my time there more pleasant.
My stay at Hotel Shangri-La was quite a mixed bag. The location was fantastic, offering beautiful ocean views from my room, but there were significant downsides to my experience. For instance, the lack of housekeeping services and issues with the elevators impacted my overall comfort. While I appreciated the atmosphere and the overall friendly staff, it felt more like a motel than a luxury hotel.
My stay at Hotel Shangri-La was absolutely wonderful, with stunning ocean views and really good service. However, the hotel parking was quite pricey, which is to be expected in Santa Monica. Overall, I had a fantastic experience and would love to return.
My stay at Hotel Shangri-La had its highs and lows. The concierge, Adrienne Miley, was really good and genuinely enhanced my experience with her local recommendations, while the stunning ocean view from my room was amazing (I loved waking up to that!). However, the service at check-in was less than impressive, contributing to a frustrating first impression. Overall, the ambiance was lovely, but there were definitely areas that needed improvement.
